Stuck In A Hug
In our home, we hug, kiss, and snuggle a lot. All of us, together. In the kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom…wherever! We love to love each other! Sometimes it feels like maybe I smoosh my son’s cheeks with my own too much. Or perhaps I randomly grab my daughter just to sneak a kiss one too many times each day. Is that possible? No way! The more love, the better.
Each of my children have shown their own signs of affection from a very early age. I love that about children! When my niece was a toddler, she invented the pretend-squeeze-your-cheeks-hard move and coined it the “MUUUUJJAAA”. Each of the other children to follow have picked this up so easily, you would think it’s genetic. My own kid has learned it and now performs a “muuj” (the shortened version) at least once a day. On top of that, she has created her own love by being “stuck in a hug”. She LOVES it when we are holding her and wrap both arms ALL the way around her & rap the song “Stuck In A Hug”…written by us, together, of course. She’ll shout, in her quiet, sweet high-pitched voice “I’m sssuck ina hug! I’m sssuck ina hug!“ We find ourselves stuck in hugs all the time now. It’s even gone onto being stuck in kisses, cheek smooshes and muujjaas. Even on the nastiest of days, getting stuck in a hug will put a smile on our faces & give us an instant giggle.
This is just a friendly reminder to find yourself stuck in a hug, or whatever it is you do in your house, daily. Hourly or minutely for that matter J .
You won’t be disappointed.
