I’ve said it before and I”ll say it again. Some days are harder than others. Lots of days of late are harder than others.
Yesterday was a hard day. I was sick and the kids were a handful, laundry and dishes needed to get done, and blah Blah BLAH.
Yes, I know, I have three children. Three. But, c’mon, everyone has hard days regardless of their parental situation or lack thereof. I’ve always had hard days, since I was a wee one. Just like you.
Well, it’s a beautiful day outside. I certainly don’t want to spend the day sulking in the dark.
Today, I’ve decided to
What will you do???
Hey! I made that picture! Yep, I used good ole’ trusty paint program on my good ole’ trusty old school computer. It may be a tad bit cheesy and in no way a masterpiece, but I think it looks really, well, I don’t know…HAPPY!
Ok, so maybe there are still large piles of dirty snow in parking lots but I’m pretty sure Spring is here! Yesterday we ventured a walk along the canal followed by some very excited toddlers frolicking at the playground. We
didn’t even need almost didn’t even need coats! Doesn’t it feel GOOD?!
Though you may not see it, I assure you there was sun shining when the photo was taken! And that isn’t snow you see glaring in the center of the field, it’s muddy water!! YAHOO!!!
Here we are in March. I like March. It’s not in my Top 5 months because, well, let’s face it, it’s no June. However, there is potential. It could snow but it could be sunny and maybe even warm. Now there’s only a few weeks left until the snowy cold is behind us. Just keep telling yourself that…
We try to embrace the winter here in Upstate New York. It makes it worse to just sit inside and wait for Spring. There’s lots to do and lots we haven’t done but want to do: sledding, skiing (both cross-country and downhill), snowshoeing, hiking, the possibilities are endless! So get out there and enjoy! You WILL have fun!
It may be in the single digits outside today, but thank GOD the sun is shining!
If you are in the dead of winter, hang in there!! We’re almost there! Just a few more weeks until the possibility of warmer temperatures. Spring is right around the corner.
Still unsure as to why we live in this frozen tundra. Each winter, I question moving down south, somewhere warm and toasty. Then I remember why we’re here and it’s simple, really. Good family and good friends.
So I ask you, dear & loving family and wonderful friends, to join us. Let’s get the heck out of here!!!
