Among the gifts from the shops below, you will find beauty and humor, inspiration and joy, courage and love. The best notion about buying handmade is that you are supporting a real individual, sometimes a family, and all times a passion. Please enjoy our 2015 Summer Gift Guide, and thank you for supporting handmade! {Simply click on the shop name for website}

1. Vivie & Ash – Sara Hood, owner and designer at Vivie & Ash, spends a lot of time around the kitchen table as family building, dreaming, painting, imagining and… sewing. After launching in 2014 with their sweet children’s clothing line, Vivie & Ash expanded to create lovely dresses, rompers, leggings, shorts, and accessories for a complete wardrobe shopping experience. We are fond of each and every design including the Mermaid Twirly Dress (pictured). From frilly to handsome, Vivie & Ash has your children covered (quite literally). Vivie & Ash on FacebookInstagram

I love her motto – that we each have a singular sense of style & she makes the jewelry to match it! Most of her glass pendant necklaces are created using acrylic paints, Japanese washi tapes, and alcohol inks, so you can rest assured that each design will be completely unique. Christine makes her jewelry with a finely-tuned eye and steady hand. Summery must-haves from Christine & Co. Design include her Perpetual Calendars (Gold & White pictured). Ooh, glitter and glam! FPP was created to bring another option for boy clothing after being bored with all the typical clothes seen in stores. Brooke is an artist and usually paint using oils, but this has been a fun diversion to keep her hands covered in paint. Speaking of boy designs, the Rollin’ With The Pollies shirt (pictured) is a fresh new look for boys & we love every bit of Brooke’s hand-drawn design! We’ve grown fond of Brooke’s artistry and we think you will, too. Fresh Pressed Prints on FacebookInstagram

We have fallen, er, antennae-over-thorax in love with this storybook and apparel (pictured) – most adorable! I’m fairly certain that most children have ants in their pants from time-to-time, why not let a pair of whimsical leggings serve as a warning to others?! Ants In Your Pants on FacebookInstagram
