Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary

No, it’s not my blogging anniversary, but yesterday was my wedding anniversary.  4 years of wedded bliss.  Sure, there have been tough times, but the great times make it all worth it.

Take yesterday, for example.  For lunch, we packed a picnic and took it to a local park to sit & enjoy the one hour of sun we got this week.  That was special.  We all enjoyed the fresh air and company.  We decided to ignore our financial constraints and treat ourselves to a nice Hibachi-style family dinner.  The kids were overall ok, except for the hysterics from our 2 year-old when the fires would ignite at the tables.  She doesn’t like loud noises.  I understand and relate completely.  Our son was totally in awe of the culinary displays taking place around us.  He would pause to look for the blazes in between stuffing his face full of rice, veggies, chicken and steak.

Afterwards, we took a little stroll to a toy shop followed by SURPRISE!  ICE CREAM!!  Yum!

Sorry, I don’t have any photos, this memory is all our own.  🙂

I am happy to be married to such a wonderfully loving husband who is truly the greatest father I could have for our children.  He is supportive, intelligent, patient and unmistakably kind.  All of the things I strive to be but am not always the best at.  In the words of my sister/Matron of Honor on our wedding day, and I couldn’t have said it more perfectly:  He is the yin to my yang.  (Keeping in mind she also stated that I have a whole ‘lotta yang!)  In a world full of instability, he is my balance.

Thank you, my love, for sharing my life.  There is no one more well-suited for the adventure.  Of this, I am certain.
